Fall 2020 Project Updates
rpGatta is designing and building two large connected assembly lines for drive units and dual power inverter modules. Both lines include multiple robots, operator assembly stations, leak test equipment, servo presses, and various other custom assembly equipment. The overall footprint of this project is set to be around 133′ x 168′.
Inverter Assembly Line
- Assembly line consists of (56) Bosch TS5 conveyor sections (150 kg capacity)
- (20) fastening robots
- (2) robotic inspection stations
- (4) robotic soldering stations w/ AOI Inspection
- (1) material handling gantry
- (2) EOLT Material Handling Robots
- (2) rejection spurs
- (42) automatic and manual work stations
Gearbox/DU Line Overview
- 115 Total Stations, 3 Robots, and 2 Assists
- 101 Total Conveyor Stations:
- Bosch TS5 conveyor sections
- Each conveyor is individually motorized and contains RFID readers
- Lift & Locate systems for pallet positioning in auto stations
- Each pallet will contain RFID tags and bushings for accurate locating
- 50% of buffer stations populated with pallets for optimal buffering
